Cookies & privacy

How this website handles your data — briefly and in plain words.

In short

  • The website has no registration, no log-in and no forms.
  • No tracking runs on it without your consent.
  • With your consent we use the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) to see which of our posts and adverts brought you to the website.
  • You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings button at the bottom of every page.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Your browser’s local storage works in a similar way. They let a website remember your choice, for example, and let advertising networks recognise that you have visited.

What we store without consent

Only your answer to the cookie banner — an entry called samsara-consent in your browser’s local storage. It is strictly necessary so that we do not have to ask you again on every page, and it is not sent anywhere. We ask again after a year.

What we store only with your consent

The Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It helps us see how many people come to the website from Facebook and Instagram, and show our posts and adverts to people who might be interested in yoga, massage or therapies at Samsára.

Meta processes data about your visit — such as the pages you view, your IP address and details of your browser and device — and may link it to your Facebook or Instagram account. It uses these cookies:

  • _fbp — recognises your browser for measurement and advertising, 90 days,
  • _fbc — set when you arrive via a link from Facebook or Instagram, 90 days,
  • fr and other cookies on facebook.com — according to Meta’s own rules.

We are jointly responsible with Meta for collecting this data on our website and passing it to Meta (joint controllers under Article 26 GDPR). What happens to the data after that is decided by Meta in its privacy policy. Meta may also transfer data to the USA, relying on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU–US Data Privacy Framework).

Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 109(8) of the Slovak Electronic Communications Act No. 452/2021).

Fonts

The fonts on this website are loaded from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited). In doing so, your browser tells Google its IP address; no cookies are stored. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a consistent, readable website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Running the server

The website runs on a server in the European Union. On every visit the server logs technical data — IP address, time, the page requested and the browser type. This is used only for security and troubleshooting and is deleted automatically after about two weeks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the website securely (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

When you email or call us

If you contact us by email, phone or social media, we use your name and contact details only to reply and to arrange a class, massage or therapy. We keep them only as long as necessary and never pass them on to anyone for marketing.

How to change or withdraw consent

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time — just as easily as you gave it. Click the button below or Cookie settings at the bottom of the page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Simply email us at maykaorban@gmail.com.

If you think we are not handling your data properly, you can complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, dataprotection.gov.sk.

Effective from 20 October 2026.
