Class descriptions

Sattva Flow

A gentler form of yoga featuring some of the simpler asanas also practised in Ashtanga yoga. We begin with a 20-minute meditation focused on the breath, followed by 50 minutes of gentler asanas and a final relaxation.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow

A led class that begins with a short meditation, followed by a combination of asanas from the first and second series of Ashtanga yoga and from Hatha yoga, flowing through vinyasas. We finish with the closing sequence and a final relaxation in savasana.

Yoga for a healthy back

A gently guided yoga class designed to help ease mild back discomfort and strengthen the muscles that support the spine. Gentle movement helps release tension in both body and mind. The class ends with a restful 15-minute savasana.

Qigong

A calm practice that combines slow, flowing movements with conscious breathing and a focused mind. It helps release tension, quieten the mind and restore inner balance. Gentle movement sequences support the natural flow of energy in the body and bring a sense of harmony and calm.

Chi Kung

A traditional Chinese practice that gets the body moving, builds vitality and harmonises life energy. Through simple movements, conscious breathing and work with the body, it develops flexibility, coordination and balance. The practice is gentle and suitable for all ages, including complete beginners.

Yin Yoga & Nidra

Yin Yoga & Nidra brings together two approaches that complement each other perfectly – working with the body and working with the mind. Its aim is to release the body, calm the nervous system and lead into deep relaxation.

Yin yoga is a practice of patience – a moment when the pose becomes a space for attention and inner awareness. We hold poses passively for longer, which mobilises and strengthens the joints, ligaments and fascia. Yin yoga carries a deep physical and mental intensity.

Yoga Nidra, which closes the class, is a guided practice of deep relaxation. Lying on your back, with my guidance, your mind is given the chance to settle into a state of conscious rest. We work with attention, inner awareness and intention, creating space for deep rest in the state between waking and sleep.
